Ibec, the group that represents Irish business, is inviting applications for a Business Development Executive based in our Dublin office.
Due to continued commercial growth we are seeking a Business Development Executive in Ibec’s commercial team. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship handler and can instantly build rapport; competently follow up on potential sales and close same successfully.
Experience in inside sales or similar would be an advantage but this role requires the person to work on their own initiative, manage accounts proactively as well as work in a target driven environment.
There will be opportunities to meet with clients on site, attend events and conferences to grow pipeline and convert sales. Knowledge of and interest in the business eco-system in Ireland would also be helpful to succeed in this role.
The successful candidate will join a small dynamic sales team within the organisation, and they will have their own accounts and targets both in membership development and sales of other Ibec products.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a deep level of understanding of the assigned Ibec product(s)
* Implement and report on sales campaigns focusing on assigned target opportunities.
* Field in-bound member enquiries (web, phone, email) as assigned
* Follow up with sales calls/ emails to introduce Ibec and assigned products to potential members/customers with the view to close out sale or referral to membership development sales team
* Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication, making sure to understand the individual and unique needs of each customer
* Develop and manage assigned sales pipeline efficiently in CRM system (MS Dynamics and Power BI)
* Capture and maintain information, including addresses and phone numbers, for future follow in line with GDPR
* Report on activity and potential 'upsell' pipeline on a weekly basis
* Maintain and further develop sales tools (e.g. presentation, proposal email, battlecards, use cases)
* Work cross functionally/ regionally to identify and convert key opportunities for new business
* Produce comprehensive monthly management reports on new sales, sales funnel, performance against target etc, flagging any issues on our sales performance
* Actively contribute to the development of the team culture

Person Specification:
Qualifications
* 3rd level qualifications equivalent to primary degree or working towards same
* Relevant sales/marketing qualifications an advantage
Experience
* Proven Business customer services / account management experience
* Proven ability to meet and exceed monthly sales targets
* Experience of pipeline management and knowledge of CRM systems
Skills
* Excellent customer service; very strong on phone and virtual meetings
* Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills
* Proven strength in use of initiative and proven problem-solving ability.
* Ability to produce compelling written content and messaging
* Self-motivated, problem-solving team player.
