Senior Manager, Technical Training
The Senior Manager, Technical Training leads multiple team members and quality system process activities within a region to ensure successful execution of training strategies and initiatives aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direction for team members while driving a culture of inclusion, accountability, engagement, and performance.
* Set and execute on a regional training process strategy aligned with global priorities and quality initiatives.
* Investigate and establish training process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monitor progress, and take timely action to address adverse trends/deviations.
* Partner with site Operations leaders and franchise Quality leaders to set key priorities for the team.
* Advance standardization across the organization and develop processes/systems that ensure effective and sustained training delivery.
* Seek ways to continually improve processes from lessons learned, benchmarking, community discussions, etc. to meet or exceed organizational and customer needs.
* Ensure processes remain in compliance with regulatory standards and quality system requirements.
* Partner with IT, e Systems, and Shared Service teams to support quality system (e.g., LMS), enhancements, and help tickets, drive process improvement wherever possible.
* Collaborate with divisional counterparts and key stakeholders to deliver business value through opportunity identification, solution delivery, and ongoing support.
* Work with managers, process owners, and SMEs to ensure employees receive appropriate and required assignments in accordance with quality system regulations.
* Partner with various groups (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Compliance, HR, EHS, etc.) to incorporate functional-based training needs into role-based curriculums, as appropriate.
* Collect and present training performance data in leadership meetings and represent our function during regulatory body audits/inspections, support requests for evidence of training qualification.
* Act as an escalation point, drive collaboration with stakeholders and team members to resolve conflicts, process/system issues, and deviations to drive them to resolution.
* Responsible for resource planning including workload allocation and capacity planning to help determine project priorities within area of responsibility.
* Communicate system issues affecting people's ability to conduct and/or document training to drive awareness and timely resolution.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in business, education, life sciences, or quality related discipline.
* Master's degree in instructional design or quality systems preferred.
* 10 years relevant experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry with knowledge of manufacturing standards and practices, including quality and compliance issues.
* Experience working with quality management systems is essential.
* Experience with Learning Management Systems, document management, and change control processes.
