We are searching for a dedicated and passionate Meetings & Events Operations Supervisor to join our team at Radisson RED Galway.

About the role:
Radisson RED is on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Meetings and Events Operations Supervisor to join our innovative team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for crafting unforgettable experiences, we want you to help us run the RED meetings and events scene.
As our Meetings and Events Operations Supervisor, you’ll be the right-hand person to our Meetings and Events Manager, ensuring every event is executed with precision and flair. You’ll dive into the details, from coordinating to running the meetings and events on the day. Your mission is to make sure every event, whether it’s a high-powered meeting or a spectacular celebration, leaves our guests raving about RED!
You’ll be juggling a variety of tasks, working closely with clients to bring their vision to life, coordinating with contractors, managing event logistics, and supporting the setup and teardown process. Your keen eye for detail and stellar organisational skills will ensure everything runs smoothly and seamlessly. You’ll be the go-to person for troubleshooting and problem-solving, making sure every event hits all the right notes!
We’re looking for someone with experience in event management, excellent communication skills, and a knack for multitasking. You should be a proactive team player who’s ready to roll up your sleeves and dive right into the action! - Minimum experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Meetings & Events.
- Minimum educational requirements: National academic qualifications / Degree in hospitality preferable.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the smooth running of the meeting & events department, where all aspects of the client and guest experience are delivered to the highest levels, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to.
2. Working proactively to maximise client and guest satisfaction, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
3. Develops and implements strategies where the meeting & events department metrics are identified, communicated and delivered where reports and tracking tools are effectively maintained in line with defined initiatives & targets.
4. Effectively manages the life cycle of the team within the department, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance whilst reflecting and promoting the company culture and values.
5. Prepares and is responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that sales targets are realised, that costs and departmental inventory is controlled, that target productivity and performance levels are attained.
6. Build and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders and partners both internal and external ensuring all communications and activities are controlled and undertaken in a timely manner.
7. Establish and deliver effective programmes that advances sales and profitability, which may include working with internal and external stakeholders as required, whilst incorporating environmental concerns.
8. Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
