We are currently looking for a Customs and Supply Chain Executive to join our team here at Novelplast.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Customs and Supply Chain Executive for our company with routes across the UK, Far East, America, and further afield. You will be responsible for import and export activity and ensuring compliance with all Customs Regulations. This role requires meticulous understanding of all Customs Procedures and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customs Documentation: Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations.
2. Compliance: Ensure all customs activities comply with local and international regulations.
3. Liaison: Communicate with customs authorities and clients to resolve any issues related to customs clearance.
4. Classification: Classify goods according to tariff coding systems.
5. Tracking and Monitoring: Track shipments and ensure timely clearance.
6. Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on customs activities.
7. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays in the customs clearance process.
8. Support Supply Chain Department: Assist and support the supply chain with day-to-day tasks as required.
9. Support Procurement Department: Assist and support the procurement department with day-to-day tasks as required.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: 2-3 years of previous experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding experience.
2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
3. Skill: Excellent organizational skills and communication skills.
4. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Problem Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve issues effectively.
6. System Used: Thyme IT.
