Advanced Manufacturing Leader
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team in South Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development:
* Develop detailed electrical schematics and layouts for new machine designs using CAD software.
* Select appropriate electrical components and ensure compatibility with machine requirements.
* Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
Hands-On Electrical Work:
* Assemble, install, and test electrical systems and components.
* Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues during machine development and testing phases.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
* Provide unplanned cover for electrical assembly when needed.
Project Commissioning:
* Lead the commissioning of new machines at customer sites, ensuring all electrical systems are installed and function as designed.
* Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the commissioning process.
* Train customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Documentation and Standards Compliance:
* Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
* Ensure all designs and installations adhere to EN 60204 standards.
* Maintain up-to-date records of electrical designs and modifications.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Provide regular updates to the R&D Manager on project progress and challenges.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and hands-on electrical work, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industries.
* Proficiency in CAD software for electrical schematics (e.g., Solidworks Electrical, EPLAN).
* Strong knowledge of electrical standards and regulations, particularly EN 60204.
* Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and documentation skills.
* Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel.
