Medical Doctor - Roscommon
Contract: Fixed-term covering Maternity Leave 4 months, starting June 2025
Location: Castlerea, Roscommon
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 35 per week
Times: Split shift, 9:00am-12:00pm & 14:00pm-17:00pm
Pay: €96,241 per year
Systems usage: Socrates, Microsoft Office, Healthmail.
Role description:
Based in Roscommon, the General Practitioner role is working with one of our key clients in the provision of health check services for its customers, primarily psychiatric assessments. The service is designed to help people identify risk factors, signs, and symptoms of common conditions, which if not detected could result in serious health issues.
Candidate requirements:
* Active IMC Registration
* Own Medical Indemnity Insurance
* Eligible to work in Ireland
* Misuse of Drugs Level 1 Cert (Desirable, training can be arranged)
* Minimum 3 years postgraduate experience in Ireland
* Community & Primary care experience (essential)
* Strong Psychiatric/Mental Health Background (essential)
* Ability to write own prescriptions (essential)

At the end of the health check, our GPs are required to complete a full report for the patient with onward referrals as appropriate.
