We're hiring a Health and Safety Advisor to join our client who is a leading construction services provider in Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across their projects on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Develop and implement site-specific safety policies and procedures.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training to site staff and contractors.
Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Maintain up-to-date safety records, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety statements.
Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation and guidelines.
Monitor and manage personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance across the site.
Liaise with project management teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure safety standards are upheld.
Stay informed about industry best practices and updates to health and safety legislation.
Requirements:
A degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety Officer role, ideally within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and standards.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and engage site teams.
Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Full, clean driver's license
