The opening of our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny in 2024 reflects the growing demand for our global Diabetes Care products.
This state-of-the-art facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3 system.
The FreeStyle Libre 3 system delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones.

This is how you can make a difference:
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will provide technical support for equipment used in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment using technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment.
You will utilize data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives, monitor machine output on the shift to ensure all cells are running to cycle time, and meet specific OEE targets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting scheduled maintenance, diagnosing, and troubleshooting faults, and undertaking repairs.
- Selecting, engaging, and working with outside contractors.
- Performing complex skilled maintenance and repair such as mechanical, pneumatics, electrical systems.
- Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Understanding day-to-day operation for conveyors, depositors, p&p machines, and weighing machines.
You will have the opportunity to travel to the US for the first 6 months.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 6 in a technical related discipline.
- Electrical and mechanical skills are desired, with a distinct advantage given to those who can show aptitude and ability in both disciplines.
- Excellent knowledge of industrial machines and the mechanical industry, crucial for keeping the safety and security of all production staff.
- Experience within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
