Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will receive full training and mentorship to develop the skills needed to design and support Fire Suppression systems.

What You Will Do
As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
1. Learn to design fire suppression systems using site surveys or supplied drawings.
2. Support senior designers and engineers in project development and execution.
3. Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD and other industry software.
4. Assist in ensuring design schedules are met for approval, fabrication, and construction.
5. Liaise with sales, contract managers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Conduct Design Risk Assessments under guidance.
7. Support in the creation of project documentation, including certification and handover packs.
8. Develop an understanding of industry standards such as FM, NFPA, and EN regulations.

What We Look For
1. A recent graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Building Services Engineering (or a related field).
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D capabilities would be a plus).
3. Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. A keen interest in fire protection and building safety systems.
Preferred (but Not Required)
1. Knowledge of sprinkler design or fire suppression systems.
2. A full driving license.
