They are open to candidates from an electrical/mechanical engineering background in manufacturing, who have experience in troubleshooting problems, people management experience, and a proactive process improvement attitude.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead key Programs & Projects that enable the success of our client by delivering and completing engineering works, continuous improvements, and projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The successful candidate will oversee the ongoing delivery of Capital Projects and will be a key member of the Capital Project Team, responsible for the installation of new Mechanical Plant, Electrical Infrastructure, Equipment, refurbishment of existing facilities, and implementation of new strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of the planning, safe execution, and delivery of capital projects onsite.
2. Work with all stakeholders on site to ensure effective delivery with minimal disruption to operations.
3. Identify and resource external contractors capable of delivering complex capital projects.
4. Oversee all aspects of ongoing projects, including inspections of works and delivery within budget.
5. Participate in annual project forecasting meetings and the ongoing development of the capital improvement plan for the site.
6. Closely manage the departmental budget and capital projects budget, driving cost reduction and increasing effectiveness.
7. Report weekly on the status of each project, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
8. Ensure compliance with Statutory, Legislative, and Regulatory requirements for GMP, EHS & Quality.
9. Provide clearly defined roles & responsibilities and annual goals & objectives for direct reports.
10. Demonstrate effective change leadership.

The role requires someone with a practical mindset, who understands the deliverables associated with each phase of a project.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have 5+ years managerial experience.
2. Be a Qualified Electrician.
3. Have proven experience in successfully delivering Capital Projects.
4. Understand the typical project life cycle from concept through to handover.
5. Have strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of customer/client relationships in projects.
6. Exhibit strategic and tactical thinking abilities.
7. Be a convincing communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others.
8. Be detail-focused; each capital spend in the facility needs to work seamlessly post-delivery.
9. Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
10. Possess outstanding people management and interpersonal skills.
11. Have knowledge of Design Verification and Process Validations, particularly as it pertains to equipment and manufacturing processes.
12. Be familiar with lean and operational excellence principles.
