Job Description
Great opportunity to join a leading Medical Device company in Cork as a Manufacturing Engineer on an initial 12 month contract. The hourly rate is dependant on experience.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for introducing and validating new equipment.
2. Collaborates with Value Streams to find equipment improvement opportunities, such as automation, robotics, vision systems, etc.
3. Assists Product Development in determining the necessary hardware for new products.
4. Participates in a collaborative effort to develop the specifications for new equipment (URS).
5. Meets with suppliers to discuss equipment requests, supplier choice, and capital approval.
6. A primary team member for FATs and design assessments of new equipment.
7. Validation of new equipment.
8. Moving and verifying equipment from other locations.
9. Supports the adoption of novel technology.
10. Assists in troubleshooting production concerns using automated machinery.
11. Establishes and promotes a culture of continual improvement at work.
12. Quality policy, Quality System & the appropriate regulations for the area.
13. Arranges training for new tools.
14. Providing technical leadership on maintenance and equipment issues.
Education & Experience
1. Degree level qualified in a related field of study.
2. 2+ years experience in a similar role.
3. Right to work freely in Ireland with no Visa restrictions.
