Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Reports to: CEO
The Role:
The HR Manager leads a team handling all HR activities within the manufacturing facility and all related functions, with a focus on cultivating a proactive and strong employee relations culture.
Responsibilities:
* Provides leadership and direction to a small, agile Human Resources team, including mentoring and training.
* Supports all Irish-based employees with day-to-day HR activities.
* Ensures systems and processes for payroll, healthcare, pension, bonuses, and benefits are accurate and compliant.
* Promotes a culture of open, fair, and progressive employee engagement and relations.
* Collaborates with management to ensure consistent people management practices and advises on related issues.
* Develops learning and development plans and promotes the company as a place to start and grow careers.
* Works with management to attract and retain staff through effective policies and practices.
* Proactively addresses employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
* Assists in filling open vacancies within the production team.
* Builds relationships with HR practitioners in the community for best practices and trends.
* Ensures HR policies are in place and well communicated.
* Maintains regular communication with management and acts as a confidante on sensitive issues.
* Contributes to building the HR function as an effective business partner.
* Keeps updated on Labour legislation and ensures policies are compliant.
* Supports organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
The Person/Qualification:
* Proven experience as a Senior HR Generalist or HR Manager in manufacturing.
* At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR role in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills.
* Approachable, empathetic, and with integrity.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Sound judgment and confidentiality.
* Ability to promote the company as a great place to work.
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
