Meta is looking for an Infrastructure Accounting Manager to join the team. The company is in a period of exceptional growth, and we want people to join us who are ready for the challenge of helping us to build and scale. The ideal candidate will have experience of working well with cross-functional teams, providing accounting and process guidance for decision making, as well as managing a significant portion of Meta's infrastructure investment on our balance sheet. You need to recognize how to strike a balance on getting the details right while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. The candidate must be a highly driven, high energy, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.
Responsibilities
1. Drive the execution of US GAAP accounting for Meta's subsea fiber portfolio including contract reviews, technical accounting memorandums, lease classification testing, impairment assessments, journal entries and SOX controls.
2. Partner closely with various cross-functional teams to collect input and/or provide required accounting guidance that support the decision making of Infra Accounting.
3. Prepare reporting deliverables to leadership detailing accounting results, risks being monitored and significant business updates.
4. Provide oversight of US GAAP close efforts including preparation of journal entries, sub-ledger reviews, reconciliations, cost allocations, reporting and other duties as necessary.
5. Participate in meetings with external stakeholders to represent Meta's investment interests.
6. Support ad hoc requests and projects including automation initiatives.
7. Co-ordinate and review the work of our outsourcing business partners.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 8+ years experience in Accounting or Finance.
2. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
3. Technical and operational knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners to drive impact.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion.
2. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Track record of implementing process improvements.
