Job Title: Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Manager 2
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to fill the role of Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in our Swords location.
About the Role
This part-time (0.5) permanent position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive standardized Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) service in line with the Health & Wellbeing (H&W) IPC annual program.
Main Responsibilities:
* To act as an accountable role model through the provision of professional leadership and demonstration of best practice in the area of IPC.
* To work as a key stakeholder and member of the IPC team, providing expert advice and support to all members of both clinical and non-clinical teams.
* To work with the IPC team to ensure the IPC annual program for H&W with identified goals are achieved.
* To provide and maintain a comprehensive, efficient, and effective IPC service by assessing, identifying, developing, implementing, and evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role in line with national and international recommendations and guidance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* To be a registered or eligible for registration in the General Nurse Division with at least 5 years post-registration experience.
* To have experience working in the specialty of infection prevention and control, preferably with a recognized post-registration nursing course in Infection Control.
* To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
* To have a full clean driving license and access to appropriate transport to fulfill the requirements of the role.
