EXCELLENT SALARY + BENEFITS FOR AN EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for leading the on-site facilities electrical team, working closely with both the Senior Facilities Manager (FM) and the Technical Services Manager.
This role involves managing direct labor teams and subcontractors, coordinating material procurement, overseeing Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance, and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering and project management tasks. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will ensure that all compliance, health, and safety requirements are met in line with client expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks related to Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services.
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors for PPM activities and project execution.
* Supervise and support the electrical maintenance team on-site.
* Issue work permits for subcontractors, ensuring thorough review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for both reactive tasks and PPMs.
* Analyze PPM reports and schedule any necessary follow-up work.
* Plan, manage, and oversee the successful delivery of electrical maintenance and project activities.
* Provide support to Utilities teams, working closely with clients to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
* Work with the site electrical team to assess and update PPM records within the facility.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
* Lead design processes, including pre/post shutdown planning, service coordination, and technical documentation.
* Develop and implement technical project strategies while troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
* Identify and integrate sustainable and value-engineering solutions into project designs.
* Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project compliance, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to specifications.
Experience Required
* A Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Packages and CMMS systems.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the operation and management of engineering services ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong knowledge of facility equipment and site utilities, certifications, and control and safety procedures.
* An understanding of the relative Rules & Standards.
* Management Experience is a plus.
* A good knowledge of electrical maintenance.
* Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be residing in Ireland as it is URGENT.
