We are excited to assist our prestigious partner in East Cork (30km from Cork City) in their search for a dedicated and experienced Hotel Deputy General Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional eager to contribute to the continued success of a well-established hotel.
As the Hotel Deputy General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring excellent guest experiences, managing staff, and driving business performance. You will act as a second-in-command, stepping up to take leadership when required and be integral to maintaining high standards across all departments.
Our client is a reputable and well-established hotel in East Cork, known for its exceptional service and strong presence in the local hospitality market. The hotel attracts both leisure and business travelers, offering a range of services designed to deliver memorable guest experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the hotel.
2. Lead, motivate, and manage department heads and staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
3. Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and handling guest feedback or complaints effectively.
4. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to meet revenue and profit targets.
5. Assist in recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff.
6. Oversee health, safety, and compliance standards in line with company policies.
7. Contribute to business development efforts, including networking, fam trips, and trade events.
8. Step into the General Manager role during their absence, ensuring continuity in leadership and operational management.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in hotel management or as a department head (e.g., F&B, Front Office, or Operations).
2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
3. Excellent problem-solving abilities, financial acumen, and attention to detail.
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
5. Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
6. Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
Salary & Benefits:
1. Base Salary: €45,000
