We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Process Safety Engineer to join our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team at Sanofi. Reporting directly to the Site Head of EHS, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and implementing process safety elements onsite, ensuring the safety and integrity of our manufacturing processes, and contributing to our commitment to employee safety and environmental responsibility.

Main responsibilities:
* Chair and document process and equipment HAZOP and HAZID assessments for the site
* Conduct process safety-related risk assessments, including Process Hazard Assessments and Machinery Risk Assessments
* Oversee the introduction of new products to the site from a process safety perspective
* Manage process safety elements associated with running product campaigns on plant, ensuring all processes are managed effectively
* Propose, develop, and implement improvements and modifications from a process safety perspective to process areas and equipment to enhance operations
* Ensure compliance with relevant site, corporate, and industrial standards
* Interact with the change control system and approve from an EHS perspective
* Troubleshoot process safety-related issues
* Review and approve process safety-related documentation, including process HAZOPs and Capital Project Lifecycle system requirements
* Provide relevant training to colleagues as required
* Support safety investigations throughout the site
* Conduct safety audits and continuously improve the Site safety management systems
About you
Qualifications:
Education
* Honours degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related discipline
Experience
* 3 to 4 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry
* Experience in process safety subject matters such as ATEX, COMAH, and reaction chemistry hazards is beneficial
Skills and Competencies:
* Good understanding of process safety and process engineering, including general processing and plant operations (essential)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* High motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in relevant software tools and Microsoft Office suite
