A client of mine is looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to join their team in Limerick. In this role, you will provide first-line IT support and assist with the setup and maintenance of IT systems across the business.
Responsibilities:
* Provide first-line support for IT issues, logging and resolving tickets.
* Assist with the setup of hardware, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
* Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and peripherals.
* Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and escalate to senior engineers when necessary.
* Maintain and update IT documentation, including user guides and procedures.
* Support the rollout of new software applications and IT projects.
* Work closely with other IT staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on desktop and hardware support.
* Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and networking concepts (DNS, DHCP).
* Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* A willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment.
* IT-related certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 are a plus.
