Our client, a leading organisation in the technology industry, is seeking a talented Network Architect to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple technology areas and contribute to the creation of innovative solutions aligned with our client's cloud strategy.
As a Network Architect, your responsibilities will include performing product design activities, designing and implementing new software solutions as part of our client's cloud enablement strategy, and maintaining and enhancing existing software. You will be responsible for ensuring that code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices, and performance. Additionally, you will be required to write and conduct unit and integration tests.
In this role, it is essential to effectively function and communicate within a software development team consisting of developers, quality assurance, and project management members. You will actively participate in requirements, architecture reviews, and design meetings to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
To be successful in this position, you should have deep knowledge of web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms and services is required, along with a thorough understanding of Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) or similar frameworks. Strong knowledge of cloud security, including Azure Policy, Azure Defender for Cloud, and Azure Sentinel, is also necessary.
Proficiency in CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins and experience with general programming languages like Java and Python are highly desirable. Familiarity with Agile development practices, test-driven development, configuration management, and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, and Salt is a plus. Experience with identity management frameworks and tools, Linux/UNIX system administration, and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift will be beneficial. Any cloud provider certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Architect, will be seen as advantageous.
