Conaty Food & Catering Supplies, one of Ireland's premier suppliers to the hospitality industry, are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to join our Purchasing Team.
The main duties of this position will include:
* Place daily, weekly and monthly orders with specific suppliers.
* Manage the order process, matching goods to customer orders and back orders.
* Provide product shortage, alternative and lead-time information to the Sales Team and to the Customer Service Team.
* Co-ordinate and manage incoming stock with the Purchasing Team.
* Communicate delivery dates and details with the Goods Inwards Team.
* Source new / alternative product information and pricing from suppliers as required.
* Share new / alternative product information with Marketing department for e-commerce platforms.
Skills required:
* Experience working in an FMCG retail or warehouse environment
* Previous experience in stock ordering, processing and invoicing is desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and see tasks through to completion.
* Computer literacy with an advanced level of Microsoft Word & Excel is essential.
* Fluency in English
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
This is an office based position, Monday to Friday and the hours are 8am to 5pm.
