About the Role
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Direct Support Workers to join our team across various locations in Ireland. This service offers residential and day services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, providing a rewarding opportunity to support individuals in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and daily living support with dignity and respect.
* Encourage independence, social inclusion, and active community participation.
* Assist with household tasks, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Support individuals in achieving personal goals and engaging in meaningful activities.
* Work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders.
* Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
* Essential experience in residential care or day services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Full, Irish manual driving licence required.
* Health or Social Care qualification (e.g., Social Care, Psychology, Nursing, or FETAC Level 5 in healthcare).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Intellectual Disability Module as part of Fetac 5 Major Award is desirable.
Skills Required
* Experience working in residential and day services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Respite care skills highly valued.
