Job Description
Carron + Walsh is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Master Scheduler to lead our scheduling efforts on a global portfolio of projects working from our Waterford or Dublin office. The role will involve occasional travel to Client sites in Ireland, USA, and Europe.
The Candidate will manage a portfolio of scheduling projects independently whilst reporting to our Management team. Typical duties and responsibilities are listed as follows:
* Work with leading global pharmaceutical, biotech, and large-scale project Clients to oversee the development of the master integrated schedule for large-scale development projects.
* Travel to Client sites to facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions with key project stakeholders.
* Oversee the development of sub-programmes for contracted portions of work such as design, procurement, contracts administration, construction, commissioning, and handover.
* Work with the Clients' in-house specialists to develop programmes for in-house activities such as validation, operational readiness, tech transfer, and licensure.
* Integrate various contractor schedules to prepare a master integrated schedule for the project.
* Implement schedule reporting structure and procedures for various contractors and vendors.
* Monitor planned versus actual progress.
* Frequently report to the Client on project status, critical slippage, key risks, and opportunities.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications and traits:
* Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years professional scheduling experience in the construction and/or manufacturing sector.
* Must have construction or project management experience.
* Must be proficient in the use of Primavera and Microsoft Project as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and large-scale project experience a distinct advantage.
* Desire to deliver high-quality services to our Clients.
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
* Must have excellent written English and report writing skills.
* Must have proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Must have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
* Must exercise confidentiality and discretion.
