We are recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for a busy Gastropub in Cork City. We are looking for an imaginative and motivated colleague with a passion for cooking to add to our Client's Kitchen team. We are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef with experience in a similar role, i.e., busy Gastropub or Restaurant with an all-day food business.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications, develop new dishes with H/C.
* Take overall responsibility and manage the Kitchen when the Head Chef is off.
* Maintain a hygienic working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards.
* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
* Restock items as needed throughout the shift, care for and cater to your section.
* Be flexible; this is a very busy kitchen requiring structure and teamwork.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar quality food background and role.
* Experience working in a GastroPub or Hotel with Bar/Bistro/Brasserie style outlets.
* HACCP Knowledge and Training.
* Certification from a recognised body is preferred.
* Flexibility to work with other disciplines within the Kitchen and a team player.
* Current legal status to live and work in Ireland; no Work Permit available.
