Our Client, a leading food manufacturing business, are seeking a National Account Manager to drive sales & profitability for their business.
They manufacture a market leading brand in Ireland along with a host of other leading brands worldwide.
This role would ideally suit a Commercial Executive ready to step up to a NAM role, or an experienced NAM about 5 years into their career looking to progress to the next level.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage customer relationships as best as possible to ensure the effective operations of the business, maximizing sales and profitability.
Key Accountabilities
1. Management of price promotions and new product launches in line with agreed plans.
2. Delivery of sales forecast on time and accurately.
3. Work with the supply chain and factory teams regarding forecast planning.
4. Work in conjunction with commercial finance and trade marketing to develop promotional plans suitable to each customer while seeking to maximise profitability for the business.
5. Initiative to learn from previous executions and be able to adapt and optimize future plans based on these learnings.
6. Ensure already well-established relationships are maintained within the account.
7. Developing and executing Joint Business Plans with Key Customers.
Skills and Experience Required
1. Sales experience ideally in multiple retail FMCG customer management.
2. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate product features and benefits.
3. Timely and accurate reporting, showing initiative and ability to identify selling opportunities.
4. Strong communication, relationship building and negotiation skills.
5. Analytical, numeracy and excellent time management abilities.
6. Organised and professional at all times.
7. Enthusiastic and confident individual with high level of I.T. proficiency.
8. A confident self-starter who can work on own initiative.
9. An excellent team player, with a passion for customer care.
10. Full Clean Driving License.
11. A background of working within chilled food categories desirable.
12. Degree in a business related area. (Relevant experience may qualify).
