Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid position working remotely and from our Ireland office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes, with a passion for automating workflows, ensuring system reliability, and supporting agile software delivery practices. This role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes that enable our development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate software delivery processes.
• Kubernetes Orchestration: Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and performance. Utilize tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana for proactive issue resolution.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, CloudOps and IT operations teams to integrate DevOps practices across the organization. • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations.
Qualifications Required:
• Proven experience (≥3 yrs) as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (2yrs) in Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker with Linux) and Kubernetes orchestration (2yrs).
• Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell / Bash.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including virtual networks, load balancing, and DNS in Azure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system improvements.
Qualifications Preferred:
• Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
• Experience with GitOps.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
