We are currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker. The role will be Hybrid, working across CH06. The office base will be Northumberland Hall, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
We have a Permanent, Part-Time, 17.5 hours contract available.
Starting Salary - €63,803 - DOE
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people living with brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives.
The role of Senior Social Worker is to provide prompt and quality social work service to clients of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland along with their families and carers. Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will be expected to have a person-centred approach when supporting clients, families and carers impacted by an acquired brain injury.
Role Duties:
* Comprehensive social work assessment of family adjustment and client/family practical and emotional needs
* Identify and facilitate areas for social work interventions
* Accountable for the effective supervision and performance management of any assigned basic grade staff
* Liaise, develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide variety of agencies
* Provide support to frontline service provision teams
* Attend on behalf of ABI Ireland, relevant external conferences
* Keep up to date with social work practices, government publications and any other documents relevant to social work practices in ABI Ireland
* Maintain agreed statistical records

Essential Criteria:
* C.Q.S.W/N.Q.S.W or equivalent
* Registered with CORU
* Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, report writing and presentation
* Previous experience of leading, managing and developing staff
* An ability to manage conflict and problem solving
* Excellent time management skills with a focus on customer service
* Able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical and successful decision making and a hands-on approach
Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, of which 2 years should include working in the area of disability
* Previous experience of working in an area of neuro-rehabilitation with the provision of community and residential services within a biopsychosocial model would be a distinct advantage
* Previous experience of working with autism and/or physical and sensory disabilities would be an advantage
