Manufacturing Process Technician
CREGG are now hiring a Process Technician to work onsite with a leading multinational Medical Device company in Galway.
Requirements
1. Strong Electro/Mechanical/Maintenance background with hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical instrumentation.
2. Experience in high volume automation/robotics is an advantage.
3. Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers (PLC), Servo Motor drives, Vision systems or workshop machining is desirable.
4. Troubleshooting & Fault Finding Skills.
5. Carry out scheduled & un-scheduled Preventative Maintenance.
6. Polymer processing, Balloon Forming or Grinding process experience is an advantage.
7. Yield Management: Ability to manage yield on an hour-by-hour basis and analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
8. Problem Solving: Formal problem solving is desirable. Strong mechanical problem-solving skills are essential.
9. Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
10. Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork and records.
11. Experience in a Healthcare medical device manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
12. Microsoft Office proficient. Able to analyze data in Excel and draw logical conclusions.
13. Strong communication skills: Ability to explain and communicate issues effectively.
14. Teamwork: Ability to work with Operators & as part of a Core Production team.
15. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
16. Proven experience in process improvements including tooling/fixture design, build, and implementation.
17. Ability to work on own with minimum supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.
2. Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
3. Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, standardizing and improving existing production methods and procedures.
4. Assist MEs in investigating and implementing new production methods.
5. Assist MEs in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
