Job Title: Estimator
Location: Dublin (D22)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically minded estimator to work in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills, an analytical mindset, and strong time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse and review project drawings and technical specifications
• Gather information from various sources to ensure the company wins projects with a strike rate of 20% minimum
• Understand project requirements and gather first-hand information from site, production, or other venues
• Calculate labour costs, materials, production times, and use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
• Create and submit tenders to clients, build relationships with key vendors, and assemble accurate estimates and proposals
• Obtain and review sub-contractors' and material suppliers' quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes fulfill contract documents, and complete Budgeting Schedules for projects
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing, meet with potential clients, and track projects
• Support the Sales Team with customer requests, manage quote recording, follow up on enquiries, and work closely with the CRM Team
Requirements:
• Ability to review and analyse construction drawings and specifications
• Well-honed time management skills
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation and with external parties
• Highly engaged, proactive, and motivated individual with strong sales skills and outgoing personality
• Previous experience estimating small and large-scale projects, preferably in the façade sector of the Construction Industry
• Experience with estimating software, spreadsheet design, and CAD programmes
• Graduate from a recognised engineering, architectural, quantity surveyor, or construction management programme is an asset
• Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction field in a similar or related position
