1. Act as Electrical SME for various GMP and non-GMP systems, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory procedures at all times.
2. Ensure that all equipment is properly operated and maintained in line with Company standards, statutory requirements, and industry best practice.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with outsourced partners and other departments to successfully complete tasks.
4. Complete reviews, approvals, and close-out of Electrical technical documentation in line with site standard approval process.
5. Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture on site.
6. Manage Site Electrical Safety Program.
7. Manage Site Electrical ATEX Program.
8. Keep up to date on industry best practices specifically within the electrical area.
9. Participate in energy surveys and the implementation of energy projects.
10. Lead continuous improvement projects through the identification of CAPAs from system failure investigations and investigation reports.
11. Develop Company standard SOPs and implement equipment maintenance plans, thereby ensuring all equipment is properly operated and maintained.
12. Provide support with audit/inspection requirements to ensure department compliance/readiness.
13. Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
14. Manage Functional Safety for Safety Instrumented Systems.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of a 3rd level qualification (Level 8) in Electrical Engineering.
2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working in the pharma industry, preferably with a GMP background, in electrical systems, engineering, and project management practices.
3. CompEx Qualification.
4. Strong ATEX knowledge, preferably CompEx Trained.
5. Good Knowledge of Arc Flash Requirements.
6. Good Knowledge and Understanding of Electrical Standard ET206: The Electrical Management and Safety at Work.
7. Experience in the design of main Building Services Electrical systems such as MV/LV distribution and protection, lighting systems, small power, generators, UPS, and fire safety and detection systems.
8. Familiarity with engineering project management tools and financial management skills, including the ability to work within budgets and possess engineering technical skills.
9. Proven knowledge, appreciation, and experience of working in a strongly regulated GMP environment.
10. Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in project management.
11. Excellent communication/presentation skills.
12. Superior organizational and planning skills.
