We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Behavioural Specialist to join our team in Adult Services, Ballintemple, Cork.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary Scale: €54,209 – €64,461 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days
Overview of the Post:
The post holder will work across Cork Adult Services providing services to adults within the Cork city and county area. The post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including day services, respite and residential services. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a Behaviour Support service to include assessment and intervention and ongoing service delivery to adults with a range of complex needs.

The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:
* A relevant QQI level 8 or higher qualification on the QQI framework in the health services area e.g. Psychology, Occupational Therapy.
* An accredited Masters level qualification in applied behaviour analysis.
* Current certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, with at least three years relevant professional experience to the post.
* OR RNID with post graduate qualification in supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
* Registered with NMBI and NCNM for a CNS role.
* Three years’ experience of working with people with disability and behaviour support needs.
* OR BA in Social Care and post graduate qualification in supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
* Registered with, or be eligible for registration with, CORU.
* Three years’ experience of working with people with disability and behaviour support needs.
* AND have extensive clinical experience in carrying out Functional Behaviour Assessments, Comprehensive Behaviour Assessments and the development and subsequent implementation and review of Multi-Element Behaviour Support Plans.
* AND have a valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.
Desirable Criteria:
* Recent, relevant experience in a similar role.
* Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
* Experience designing and delivering training packages to staff and families (internal and external).
* Experience providing universal, targeted and individualised supports.
