Role Purpose:The Finance Systems Support Manager plays a pivotal role in managing, supporting, and optimising the financial systems within the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial processes and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that finance systems are running smoothly, troubleshooting any issues, implementing system upgrades, and providing ongoing support to finance users.They will report regularly to the Head of Finance Systems on support metrics and KPI’s.They will work closely with IT, finance teams, and auditors to ensure that the systems meet the needs of the business and are compliant with all relevant controls. Key Responsibilities:- System Management and Support:- Manage the Finance Systems Support team.- Manage day-to-day operations of finance systems, including Oracle eBusiness Suite and related financial applications.- Provide ongoing support to finance users, including troubleshooting, resolving system issues, and answering queries.- Managing the service delivery to customers via the JIRA ticketing system and slack channel.- Monitor system performance and ensure continuous availability to end users.- Manage user access and permissions in accordance with company policies.- Work with Internal Controls and Audit on all requests related to Joiners, Movers and Leavers.- System Optimization and Upgrades:- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and integration with other business systems.- Involvement the planning, testing, and implementation of roll-out projects, and any new features through the Sprint process.- Training and Documentation:- Develop and maintain comprehensive user manuals, training materials, and system documentation. Develop a Finance Systems Support SOP.- Conduct training sessions for finance users on system functionalities and best practices.- Compliance and Risk Management:- Ensure finance systems comply with company policies, and internal controls.- Engagement with regular system audits and implement necessary controls to mitigate risks. Qualifications:- Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. An additional professional qualification in Accounting, Project Management or IT qualification is a plus.- Experience:- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance systems support or in a Service Delivery role, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.- Strong experience with ERP systems (particularly Oracle e-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud) and other financial software.- Skills:- Good knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles.- Strong management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Good understanding of SDLC Agile methodology.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users. Work Environment:- This role is office-based 2 days per week. Occasional travel may be required for system implementation projects or team expansion.
