Job Summary:
The GSOC Manager, assigned to a specific client, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the client's Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) in Cork, Ireland. This critical role requires a highly motivated, experienced professional to ensure continuous 24/7/365 monitoring, incident response, and risk management for the client's global operations. The GSOC Manager will lead a team of GSOC analysts, coordinate with various stakeholders, and act as the primary point of contact during security incidents.
Essential Functions:
* Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
* Oversee all GSOC operations, ensuring efficient alarm and event monitoring, travel security coordination, and access control management.
* Lead and mentor a team of junior and lead GSOC Analysts, providing training and career development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
* Develop, implement, and continually update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective incident response and crisis management.
* Act as the primary point of contact during security incidents, coordinate response efforts with internal teams, clients, and external agencies as necessary.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Maintain and update the GSOC's technological platforms, ensuring integration with client systems and leveraging new technologies for improved efficiency.
* Compile and present detailed reports on GSOC activities, incidents, and performance metrics to senior management and clients.
* Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing strategic advice on security matters.
* Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and industry best practices.
* Maintain active awareness of the monitored environment to promote safe and effective working.
* Maintain a conscientious and proactive approach to achieve excellent standards.
* All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Minimum of 8 years' experience in a security operational role with at least 4 years in a GSOC environment. Relevant security related certifications/qualifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) would be preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
* Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
* Strong understanding of security monitoring tools, incident management software, and access control systems.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience in handling high-pressure situations.
* Ability to make informed decisions quickly and escalate issues as appropriate.
* Proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
* Competency in making effective independent judgments and decisions.
* Client-oriented and results-driven.
* Able to multi-task and organize workload for effective implementation.
