Field Service Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, commissioning and operating our fleet of water treatment equipment.
The primary equipment types include mechanical vapor compression stills, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, ultrafiltration, softening, carbon-filtration and distribution systems which include pumps, valves, heat exchangers and instrumentation.
This is a permanent position that requires the ability to travel, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and controls equipment, and represent the company well.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interface with Customers and execute operating and maintenance tasks
* Commission company plants' equipment
* Repair and maintain installed plants
* Fulfill role as operator for company plants as assigned
* Meet customer's expectations in quality of work and hours put in towards speedy repair of equipment
* Provide technical training to clients and communicate customer feedback for future product developments
* Read diagrams and work instructions
* Write trip reports including technical issues and complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
* Have own reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Degree or Diploma relating to Marine, Electrical and Mechanical fields desired
* Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC experience
* Knowledge of rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, heat exchangers and centrifugal compressors
* Ability to perform direct hands-on diagnostics and repairs (using hand tools, hand instruments, meters)
* Ability to read CAD prints and electrical diagrams desired
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Willingness to learn new skills with confidence to apply these in the field
* Ability to travel on short-notice and as needed, both nationally and internationally
Occasional weekend work and overtime may be required due to the critical nature of our products.
