We're recruiting for a Senior Trading Underwriter for our Dublin based team, working as part of the Commercial Motor Fleet Team.
This role will deliver sales support, best in class customer service to our Broker Partners and act as a key contributor to AXA Ireland's Commercial objectives.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025.
Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Reporting directly to Commercial Broker Team Leader, the successful applicant main responsibilities will involve; Handling new business submissions and renewals in line with agreed processes and risk appetite to deliver on the Financial Plan.
Development of key relationships through day to day interactions with broker partners to support business retention and new business acquisitions.
Handling technical referrals from Broker partners and leveraging support of lead Trading Underwriters.
Identify new commercial insurance opportunities e.g.
Pipeline, broker relationships & visits to brokers maximise revenue generation through delivery of rate carry, optimising sales and retention opportunities.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer service and adhere to the units agreed service standards.
Take personal responsibility and ownership for delivering on individual and team objectives.
Participate and support key Commercial Projects alongside internal and external stakeholders.
Support and drive system developments together with Senior Underwriters and Team Leader.
Qualifications A minimum of 5 years' experience in general insurance of underwriting or sales, with a strong knowledge of Commercial Products and Underwriting criteria.
APA CL (Essential), with commitment to work toward CIP.
Proven ability to deliver on challenging business targets.
Show a high degree of flexibility when faced with new challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective relations with brokers.
Ability to decide the best course of action based on analysis of factual information, experience and judgement.
Proven ability to prioritise workload and deliver on objectives.
