Utmost is seeking a Trainee Claims Assessor to join our team on a permanent contract in our Navan offices on a hybrid basis. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in managing and assessing claims, starting with the basics and progressing to more complex tasks as you grow.
This role offers a structured development path to eventually progress you into a more senior role as a Claims Assessor. Initially, you will be trained in claims processing, logging items, handling claims forms, and communicating with medical consultants. You will gain exposure to assessing claims for group products, with a path to moving into income protection claim assessments.
Desirable Behaviours, Skills & Qualifications
* Business Degree.
* Ability to work toward tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
* Open to continuous development regarding industry educational qualifications – DLDC Diploma (III) or QFA (LIA).
* Comfortable using Excel and Word.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities
* Logging and managing claims-related documentation on our system.
* Handling key forms such as claims and GP forms.
* Referring cases to external consultants, including preparation of medical packs and related documents.
* Assisting assessors with post and administrative tasks.
* After training, moving into claims assessment, starting with group product lines and progressing to income protection claims.
