Position Overview
The International Divisional finance team is currently recruiting for a Business Controller role. The position’s location which is flexible and open to discussion, is an integral part of the International Divisional finance team as it supports Divisional management in the overall execution and co-ordination of the Division’s financial deliverables.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Input and support in the preparation, co-ordination and delivery of all reporting requirements including monthly and quarterly deliverables, annual budgets and strategic plans in addition to presentations and the provision of analysis of results to senior management and other key stakeholders
* Co-ordination of the monthly trading results meetings including related deliverables and follow-up queries
* Engaging with a wide number of stakeholders across a variety of business-related topics and projects leveraging business intelligence tools to provide analysis and insights
* Understanding key issues facing the business (pricing / cost analysis/ operating cash performance, forecasts etc.) and providing clear analysis to support decision making
* Review and analysis of financial performance liaising directly with Divisional teams and the wider Group Finance team
* Other ad hoc information/analysis as requested by senior and executive management including involvement in a number of process improvement initiatives
Key Characteristics
For this role you should be/have:
* Highly collaborative with ability to build high trust relationships
* Relationship management including building and maintaining good working relationships
* Customer Focus (internal)
* Self-starter with ability to adequately plan and organize own work and complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Experience / Education
You are/have:
* Professional accountancy qualification with at least +3 years’ post-qualification experience
* 3rd level degree or equivalent course qualification an advantage
* Advanced knowledge of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
* Excellent communication and collaborative skills
* Demonstrated ability to analyse and validate financial and performance data and to communicate financial information and trends in multiple formats including insights using data visualization tools and techniques (experience in applications such as Power BI etc would be beneficial)
* Proven ability to manage workflows with multiple stakeholders in an effective manner
* Good commercial acumen
