Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller
This is a full-time/permanent position in the Finance department, reporting to the General Manager & External Outsource Financial Controller.
The role will be based in our Kenmare office with hybrid remote working options.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have experience managing financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, cash management and financial analysis. They will also assist in budgeting, forecasting and compliance to drive financial efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the bi-weekly payroll process from start to finish, including employee queries, tax reporting and payment.
* Process invoices, manage supplier interactions, prepare payment files for review and process bank transactions using Dext and QuickBooks.
* Reconcile cash and credit cards in transit, prepare cash lodgements and manage cash floats.
* Assist in preparing financial statements, management accounts and reports.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
* Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
* Monitor cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Ensure tax and general compliance adherence.
* Project manage monthly stock-takes with department heads to ensure accuracy.
* Liaise with external auditors as required.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
* Professional certification/qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is required.
Experience:
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
* Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. Dext, QuickBooks).
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
