The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the Service Technician team and managing the servicing and warranty repairs on cooling towers throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Service Manager to advise and inform of activities, requirements, and opportunities.
* Assist in managing relations with customers, including water treatment accounts.
* Organize the Service Work Schedule and ensure that appropriate personnel, equipment, and materials are present onsite.
* Maintain optimal use of resources within the Service Team to ensure profitability and minimize stand-down time.
* Log individual Service Team overtime hours and submit them to the Service Manager for sign-off.
* On request of the Service Manager, survey customers' installations and recommend improvements to enhance performance or bring equipment into compliance with current legislation.
* Ensure all site work is carried out in accordance with the latest Health & Safety guidelines.
* Participate in inter-departmental training programs as required.
* Complete reports correctly and return them to clients in a professional and timely manner.
* Continuously assess and identify strengths & weaknesses within the service team, ensuring appropriate training and product knowledge is established.
* Create Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Assist in fleet management.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in scheduling and working with field staff.
* A formal engineering qualification is an advantage but not essential.
* A clear understanding of health and safety.
* Computer literate (further training would be made available).
* An excellent communicator.
