Job Title: Patient Accounts Supervisor
Mater Private Network is seeking a highly skilled Patient Accounts Supervisor to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a business with sufficient scale and complexity, driving performance improvement initiatives and managing people.
The Patient Accounts Supervisor will be responsible for leading the Patient Accounts Team in verifying patients, collecting payments, and responding to patient queries in an efficient and professional manner.
This includes timely and appropriate follow-up on patient queries, management of the verifications application, and support for the team in verifying patient insurances policies at the booking stage.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing processes to deliver best practice, liaising with consultants and departments, and managing Self-Pay debt books.
They will ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations, maintain accurate records, and promote the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
The role requires strong project management skills, analytical and organizational abilities, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Patient Accounts Team to achieve objectives of collecting cash, verifying patients, and resolving patient queries.
* Manage Patient Accounts activities to maximize efficiencies within operational processes.
* Develop and implement processes to deliver best practice for the business.
* Liaise with consultants, Quality Department, and Centre Leads around incidents and medical necessity.
* Manage Self-Pay debt book to collect outstanding arrears from patients.
* Vendor management in debt collection and legal services.
* Ensure full compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
Requirements:
