Summary:
Our client is a pharmaceutical company based in East Cork looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation in conjunction with key project stakeholders i.e., Project Management, Legal, Engineering, EHS and Quality, of sourcing requirements for the project in accordance with the requirements described in the project Sourcing Strategy.
Responsibilities:
Working with Sourcing colleagues, supports the Work Package Owner in the delivery of a work package, from initiation through to closeout.
Ensures Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are in place and are current with all suppliers in advance of a work package being issued for bid.
Selects and prequalifies suppliers in accordance with the latest approved version of the project Sourcing.
Strategy to ensure work packages are awarded so as not to impact key project milestones.
Maintains supplier records including, reviews, assessments, name change and annual maintenance.
Negotiates with key stakeholders, new or updated supply agreements in compliance with global, regional and local governance requirements so as not to impact key project milestones.
Works with the Cost Controller & the Scheduler to ensure a project schedule includes all Sourcing work packages and their associated tasks, and that the dates in a project schedule and Project Sourcing Plan (PSP), are aligned at all times.
Maintains all required Sourcing Registers e.g., Project Sourcing Plan, Purchase Order & Efficiency Register, Invoice Register, Bid Clarification Registers etc.
Ensures supplier invoices are managed in accordance with the agreed invoice process for the project.
Provides weekly progress updates to the Cost Controller & the Scheduler for all Sourcing tasks they are assigned, to enable Project Management, Scheduling, Cost Control and key stakeholders assess the impact of the same on a project schedule.
Provides monthly cost updates to the Cost Controller with respect to all cost information required by the Cost Controller for the project cost book and associated reports.
Works with Project Management, Scheduling, Cost Control and key stakeholders to manage change in accordance with the Change in Obligations provisions of Agreements.
Provides risk mitigation strategies when applicable for all Sourcing tasks that impact the critical path in the project schedule.
Builds networks and maintains supplier relationships with the wider sourcing community and users to maximise benefits.
Participates in Sustainable Sourcing Initiatives (SSI) with respect to the sourcing of all design, equipment, construction and technical services e.g., automation work packages.
Escalates relevant issues to the Regional Sourcing Leader & Project Manager for the project, in line with governance requirements for a project.
Reports savings in line with cost avoidance requirements.
Produces Sourcing reports in accordance with project requirements, including but not limited to monthly project reports and Steering Committee updates and reports.
Participates in lessons learned workshops, project closeout including Supplier Performance updates and ensure all benchmarks for a project or portfolio of projects is maintained and communicated to Cost Controller & the Scheduler.
Undertakes other relevant duties as may from time to time, to support capital project sourcing.
Qualifications & Experience:
Engineering and Business qualification, with a minimum of five (5) years previous experience in Capital Projects Sourcing for pharmaceutical facility capital projects.
Knowledge of the different forms of Agreement for capital projects and the implementation of the same for individual work packages.
Experience in using Enterprise Resource Systems (ERP) systems e.g., SAP, Agora etc.
to generate Purchase Orders Requisitions etc.
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Experience managing Capital Projects Sourcing for a portfolio of projects in a multi-disciplined project environment.
A decision maker and effective communicator.
Experience in managing a range of suppliers e.g., design, construction, equipment, professional services etc.
Experience in managing change with respect to projects and the administration of contracts in strict accordance with an Agreement.
Experience in project and construction management.
