Quality Technicians are directly involved in the day-to-dayactivities of the task team, understanding the processes and systems that deliver quality products.Come for a job, stay for a career!A day in the life of:Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Performs analysis, inspection, and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, quantitative assays on samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.Performs a variety of qualitative tests or assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.Performs required inspections, checks, analysis and documentation of studies.Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.Reviews and prepares production records for conformance to procedures.Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product.Contributes to investigations associated with products, using robust root cause analysis, and identifying corrective actions.Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.Identifies opportunities for quality process improvements and participates in continuous improvements activities.Complies to all applicable department, site-wide procedures and regulations.Provides technical support within department.Key Skills & Experience We are looking for a qualified person to a minimum of a Higher Certificate (Level 6 NFQ) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline) and with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.Experience working in the medical device or other regulated industry.Requires complete and broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education.Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing.Strong attention to detail and vigilance.Builds and maintains positive relationships with others; shows respect and consideration for others.Working knowledge of Agile, SAP & Microsoft applications is also desirable.Medtronic offer a competitive salary and flexible Benefits PackagePANELS Please note this is an opportunity to apply for the Quality Technician III – All Shifts - panel.
