Opportunity for a Fire Safety Engineer to work with a client in Ireland, based on-site and at the local client office. The role reports directly to the Senior Asset Planning Engineer in the Asset Planning Maintenance Planning Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Senior Asset Planning Engineer to prioritize and identify sites for fire safety systems.
* Conduct thorough fire risk assessment surveys on existing process site buildings to evaluate their current fire safety systems and identify any deficiencies in Building Regulations compliance.
* Analyze existing fire risk assessments conducted by others and develop comprehensive fire safety strategies to bring buildings up to Building Regulations compliance standard and other statutory legislation standards regarding fire safety.
* Determine the necessary requirements for remediation works to bring buildings up to Building Regulations compliance standard and other statutory legislation standards concerning fire safety.
* Be knowledgeable in the BCAR process.
* Have expertise in fire prevention, fire detection, fire suppression, and fire safety training.
* Audit completed fire safety systems remedial works on-site.
* Play a crucial role in stakeholder management, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Perform other tasks related to work and asset management as required by Uisce ireann.
Requirements:
* Possess relevant engineering or scientific qualifications to degree level or equivalent Fire Safety Qualifications.
* Hold a minimum of 7 years' experience in Fire Safety systems, planning, design, and statutory compliance of fire safety systems.
* Experience in sign-off of Fire Safety Systems to demonstrate statutory compliance with building regulations and Fire Certificates, BCAR etc.
* Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and statutory compliance concerning fire safety systems and legislation.
* Excel in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
* Hold excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team at all times.
