The Opportunity:
This role is client-facing, working within a professional and ambitious team, where you will receive excellent support. We have brought our brightest minds together to respond to our client’s project and programme management objectives, working on a hyperscale €500 million, 50MW+ Data Centre project. Responsibilities As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Leading and managing the delivery of all CSA packages and/or MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives from feasibility through to completion.
* Reviewing and approving design deliverables to ensure they meet project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
* Overseeing installations, testing, commissioning, and handover processes, ensuring quality, compliance, and operational readiness.
* Monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks, and key performance indicators.
* Acting as the primary interface between the client, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders for all matters.
* Chairing meetings and preparing detailed reports, minutes, and communication materials.
* Managing risks related to design and installation, proposing mitigation strategies, and ensuring the client’s requirements are safeguarded.
* Verifying that systems meet all regulatory and operational standards, as well as ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
* Collaborating with the project cost management team to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting on expenditure.
* Ensuring alignment of MEP works with the overall project budget, identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or compliance.
* Evaluating and managing commercial aspects of contracts, including cost assessments, value engineering proposals, and change order reviews.
* Providing detailed input for tender analysis and contractor selection processes for packages.
* Reviewing and verifying contractor claims related to packages & systems, ensuring they align with contract terms and agreed-upon scopes.
* Supporting project close-out by reconciling commercial data related to packages & systems, including final accounts and cost records.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Developing and delivering client presentations for all aspects of projects.
* Providing insights into industry trends and innovations, with a focus on energy efficiency and advanced building services technologies.
* Ensuring smooth integration of MEP systems into the overall project lifecycle, collaborating closely with the design and construction teams.
Rotation Cycle:
The project operates on a 10-4 rotation cycle over a two-week period. Alternatively, a 5-2 workweek rotation may be considered if the candidate can be on-site by 12:00 on Monday and remain until 15:00 on Friday.
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 years’ experience, with a focus on large-scale construction projects.
Relevant qualifications in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
Strong understanding of the construction industry, particularly within the data centre sector.
Experience overseeing the full lifecycle of project delivery, from design to operations.

* Demonstrable experience managing design and installation for high-value, hyperscale data centre projects.
* Proven ability to lead client-facing roles and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams effectively.
