We are seeking an experienced electrician (EV Engineer) within Weev, to providing technical support and assistance to customers utilising our charging infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of charging equipment, troubleshoot any issues, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, handle customer inquiries in a timely manner, and support the smooth operation of charging solutions. Key Responsibilities Commissioning of Charge Points onto the DNO network and Weev network. Respond to Charge Point breakdowns and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Carry out feasibility study of proposed site and generate reports as needed. Installation of power logger and interpret data from load studies. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding charging equipment and infrastructure. Conduct site visits to assess electrical requirements and determine optimal charging equipment placement. Assist in the coordination of resources, materials, and permits needed for successful installations. Monitor the performance of charging stations and promptly respond to any issues or faults reported. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EV charging equipment and infrastructure. Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on charging equipment. Document and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the EV charging domain. Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our products and services to customers and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures. Essential Experience NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification or equivalent. Knowledge and commitment to health and safety, and quality standards. Experience of electrical installation and commissioning. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices, and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and provide guidance. Flexible to adapt to company needs when required. Clean current UK driving licence. Please note that this position requires availability for on-call duties on a rota basis which entitle you to an on-call allowance rate. Desirable Criteria Construction Skills Register (CSR) Card holder Level 3 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Ed). Experience of programming network systems e.g. access control systems, CCTV systems or similar. C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent. Level 3 Award in Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment in Domestic, Commercial & Ind premises. C&G 2919 Electric Vehicle Charging. Experience in EV charging equipment installations.
