We have a fantastic opportunity for a legal counsel (c.4-6 years PQE) to join our UK&I legal team based in London or Maidenhead/Reading.

What you’ll do:
1. Agreement Mastery: Demonstrate expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements including SAAS software, professional services contracts, and data processing agreements. Your ability to craft and negotiate clear and effective agreements will be essential to facilitating and closing business transactions and partnerships that help the sales organisation meet their quarterly sales targets and longer term business objectives.
2. Commercial Legal Guidance: Provide comprehensive legal support to various business units, offering strategic advice and training on key legal areas including commercial, IP and privacy AI. Your role will involve preparing and delivering in-house training sessions to empower teams with the knowledge they need to navigate legal complexities confidently.
3. Collaborative Teamwork: Foster collaboration by working closely with legal team members across EMEA and Latin America. By leveraging collective expertise and insights, you'll contribute to the success of regional and global legal initiatives.
4. Regulatory Insight: Stay ahead of regulatory changes and legislation that could impact our business operations. Your role will involve monitoring legal developments and advising on compliance strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
5. Knowledge Management Leadership: Drive knowledge management and process improvement initiatives within the EMEA region. Take the lead in identifying opportunities to enhance legal operations efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the overall success of the legal department.
6. Project Support: Provide legal support to working groups and projects, playing a crucial role in developing new work practices and initiatives across the business. Your input will be instrumental in driving legal innovation and alignment with corporate objectives.
7. Risk Mitigation: Conduct internal training sessions and offer ongoing support to business stakeholders, helping them understand and mitigate key legal risks. Your proactive approach to risk management will safeguard the company's interests and foster a culture of compliance and accountability.
What you’ll need to succeed:
1. Are you an experienced legal wizard with a knack for navigating the intricate realms of Commercial, IT, Privacy and IP law?
2. Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and possess the finesse to balance priorities with ease?
3. We're seeking a dynamic individual, ideally with 4-6 years PQE, who's honed their skills in a reputable law firm or in-house department.
4. Proficiency in English is a must, with fluency in another EU language a definite plus.
5. We need someone with a keen business sense and the ability to think creatively while safeguarding Adobe's interests.
6. You'll be a team player, but also a self-starter who can navigate uncharted waters independently.
7. With exceptional communication, drafting, and technical skills, as well as a background in the software/IT industry, you'll be well-equipped to solve challenges head-on.
8. A multi-tasking maestro with a knack for risk management and an international approach, you'll thrive in our ever-evolving landscape.
9. High degree of flexibility and ability adapt quickly.
