Cluain Mhuire is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision delivering a community based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin to a catchment area of some 182,000 people approximately. In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services.
Senior Occupational Therapist
Full Time (35hrs) Permanent
Applications are invited from Occupational Therapists with experience working in mental health services. They will work as a member of the occupational therapy department and will be initially assigned to the Crisis Response Service Team and one of the Community Mental Health Teams. They will receive supervision and support from the Occupational Therapy Manager and other colleagues in the department. The successful candidate will provide a quality Occupational Therapy service reflective of CORU professional standards and ethics. They will engage in considered, client centered assessment specific to adults affected by mental health challenges to determine the service user’s needs and ensure these define individual and group intervention plans. They will have strong case formulation skills and provide comprehensive written reports based on assessment findings.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above. Candidates must be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
Candidates will require (1) clinical experience working with adults with mental health challenges; and (2) knowledge of the Individual Placement and Support Model.
Remuneration
Salary Grade 3301 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, SENIOR on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale
€63,279 - €74,509 per annum pro rata
Initial location
The initial location of this role is Blackrock, Co. Dublin. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS’s other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
