We are seeking a Accounts Assistant for a permanent role based in Dublin (hybrid).
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a range of daily and monthly accounting tasks and reconciliations. This role will also provide ad hoc support to other areas of the finance team as/when required.
This role will report on a daily basis to the Senior Financial Accountant.
Key Role Responsibilities:
* Reconciliation of PAYE, VAT and Payroll control accounts
* Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
* Coordinate credit card and Revolut payments
* Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
* Posting monthly Payroll & PAYE journals
* Preparation of VAT, VIES & Intrastat returns for a number of entities
* Assisting external accountants with US sales tax returns
* Prepare monthly sales, payroll and other costs reports to support month end reporting
Education, Qualifications and Skills:
* 3-5 years’ experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
* Part ACCA qualified, or plan on doing ACCA exams is desirable.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /Diploma preferred.
* IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Knowledge of Microsoft Navision and/or Sage is desirable
* Strong communications skills, over the phone and via email.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and financial processing.
