In accordance with New Directions, Avista is committed to developing services in line with the 12 individualised outcome-focused supports. This will ensure that adults in day services will live a life of their choosing, in accordance with their own wishes, aspirations, and needs. The aim is to empower the individual to fully utilise all facilities available in their community. This role will assist in implementing the New Directions policy throughout Limerick & North Tipperary Services. The post holder will work alongside staff, service users, families, and local agencies to enable the individual to live a ‘good life’ of their choosing.
Minimum Requirements:
1. HSE recognised health care qualification in social care, nursing or other relevant discipline
2. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working within the disability sector
3. Hold a full Clean Driving Licence and Use of a Car
4. Excellent working knowledge of New Directions
5. Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
6. Experience in supporting change management initiatives and projects within the disability sector
7. Person-centred focus
8. Excellent record keeping skills, computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
9. Ability to work on own initiative and provide leadership on the development of the EASI tool in each day service area
10. Experience of auditing service areas
Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
