Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Out of Hours plays a pivotal role within the Senior Nurse Management Team, overseeing all aspects of professional leadership and management for Nursing staff, Healthcare Assistants, and Nursing Students across a 24/7 period. This position primarily operates outside regular hours.
This key role is integral to meeting the objectives of the Nursing Department, with the ADON ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care and services. Additionally, they are responsible for developing staff, the nursing department, and the organisation, providing assurance to the DON on these matters.
The Out of Hours ADON supports the DON in guaranteeing the provision of effective delivery of quality care and services, as well as the development of staff, the nursing department, and the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* To participate in activities that meet the objectives of the Nursing Department
* To ensure the delivery of high-quality person-centred care and services
* To develop staff, the nursing department, and the organisation
* To provide assurance to the DON on the aforementioned matters
* To support the DON in ensuring the provision of effective delivery of quality care and services, as well as the development of staff, the nursing department, and the organisation
