Pharmacist/Senior Pharmacist
About the Role:
We are seeking a suitable candidate to join the RCSI Clinical Research Centre (CRC) Team at Beaumont Hospital. The successful applicant will be appointed at either a Pharmacist or Senior Pharmacist level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The development of the CRC's pharmacy facility and services, essential to the safe conduct of clinical trials involving investigational medicinal products (IMPs).
2. Advising on facilities, processes, and resources required for establishing clinical trial pharmacy services in the CRC.
3. Providing support for clinical trials and research studies conducted through the CRC.
4. Completing all pharmacy activities according to approved CRC Pharmacy and CRC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
5. Participating in setting up and ongoing management of pharmacy-related activities for clinical trials and research studies in the CRC.
6. Writing, implementing, maintaining, and adhering to procedures for safe recording, handling, storage, and dispensing of both investigational and non-investigational medicinal products.
7. Leading the CRC Dispensary Pharmacy in compliance with relevant regulations, quality initiatives, and best practice procedures.
9. Ensuring compliance with applicable Beaumont Hospital and RCSI policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
1. A registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
2. Minimum of five years post-registration experience.
3. Requisite knowledge and ability for proper discharge of duties.
4. Evidence of organisational and project management skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills for communication and integration with clinicians and clinical teams.
6. Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
7. A postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Hospital/Clinical Pharmacy or related healthcare area.
8. Previous experience working as a research Pharmacist.
9. Experience in commercial clinical trials of medicinal products or medical devices.
